A little about Emma Jean

  • During covid, I took as many semesters away from University as I could. What did I do, you might ask?

I found a winemaker and asked him to teach me about harvest, and soon I was pocketing countless sunrises from within the vines, caretaker of Petit Verdot, and living in harmony with the sweet toothed wasps and bees.

  • When I was nineteen and amidst my semesters away from VCU, and learning about wine grapes, I become overcome with self realization, and the need to shed my ego, or my ego personified, which happened to be my hair. Detaching myself from materialism and textbook societal beauty/femininity, I found true contentment.

  • Personal projects eat up all of my free time, consuming my energy and spitting out creative personifications of my thoughts and visions. Between sewing, directing photo and video shoots, and constantly taking up new hobbies such as wood working and welding, I think one of the most important things to continue finding yourself is to continue learning; take up as many hobbies as you can, it’s good for you!
